Individuals, mosques, businesses and supermarkets donate non-perishable food to us. Regular collections will take place by our volunteers who will then bring the donated items to our sorting points.
How It Works
1. Food is Donated
2. Food is Sorted & Stored
Volunteers will sort food to check that it’s in date and store it ready to be given to people who are referred to us. Food parcels with essential items will be created from the donations and be ready for distribution.
3. Identify People in Need
Through partnering with a wide range of care professionals such as doctors, teachers, health visitors and social workers, we will be able to identify people in crisis and give them a food parcel to help ease their situation.
4. Clients Receive Food
Our volunteers will transport the food to either individual households or to community partners where the food parcels will be collected from. Breakfast items will also be sorted and distributed to partner schools.
