Our Ethos

Ibn Abbas (RA) reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbour goes hungry.”

We aim to replicate the outstanding work already carried out by agencies like the Trusell Trust by providing emergency food and support to people caught in poverty trap. In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children.

Through creating a partnership of individuals, community organisations, mosques and businesses, we aim to establish food banks and community kitchens to help meet the ever-growing need of people with an inadequate supply of food.

What we Do

The work we do is broken down in to a number of simple stages – the main stages are Collect, Sort and Distribute.

To find out more about these, please hover over the icon.

Collect

Food is collected from Mosques, community partners and supermarkets

Sort

Volunteers sort and pack donations into food parcels

Distribute

Volunteers sort and pack donations into food parcels.

Breakfast Food Packs are distributed to school.

After distributing the food packs, we use the rest of the donations for the weekly hot meal kitchen.
